Development and stabilisation of a platform for recurring product deliveries and ticket sales, connected to QR code verification in a mobile app at events.
About the project
BeBio is Ewa Chodakowska’s e-commerce platform, offering cosmetics, healthy snacks, fitness accessories and access to events. Its varied offering requires different order workflows. Direct communication on social media can also bring many customers to the store in a short time. Our work covered frontend modernisation, Magento 2 development, platform stabilisation and ongoing support. The store supports product subscriptions with deliveries and ticket sales for events.
Scope of work
Work on the existing Magento 2 platform, technical maintenance and stabilisation of ongoing sales.
Designing and implementing a new visual design for the store.
Implementing and developing a custom Luma-based theme adapted to BeBio’s broad offering.
Supporting recurring deliveries, delivery frequency selection, subscription changes and pauses.
Supporting tickets, PDF documents and the connection between Magento and the app used to scan QR codes at events.
Optimising the store and database with periodic traffic spikes in mind.
Using marketing automation tools to support sales and customer relationships.
Orders with a set delivery frequency, with options to change products and pause subscriptions.
Combining both purchase models within the store.
Purchase points, rewards and mechanisms encouraging repeat orders.
A shared catalogue covering cosmetics, healthy food, fitness equipment and e-books.
Selling access to events.
Supporting product campaigns, discounts and customer communication.
Selected solutions
Ticket handling covered purchases in the store, PDF documents and QR code verification at events. A mobile app connected to Magento was used to scan tickets. This linked online sales with on-site participant handling. The store’s connection to the app also made ticket data available outside the sales website.
The store supports product subscriptions. Customers choose delivery frequency and can modify subscriptions, while the loyalty programme links repeat purchases to points and rewards. Both mechanisms are an important part of BeBio’s sales model and the context for platform development.
Performance work covered the database and cache. Backend development accounted for situations where a large number of customers visit the store following a campaign or social media post.
Results
BeBio has an evolving Magento 2 platform supporting a varied offering and several purchase models. Our work included stabilising operations, designing the store’s UX and UI, implementing ticket sales and integrating data with a customer communication tool.
